Business Sales Developer - Office based

£18 - £22k basic plus commission

About the company

Established Training and Development Company offering bespoke learning and development programmes and standard courses, in Leadership, Management, Sales, IT, business skills and business-related accredited qualifications. Our client mainly deals with private and public sector businesses, usually with 20+ employees, ranging from local family owned companies to large national and international companies.

Free parking available on site.

This role is to predominantly sell standard courses to businesses, public sector organisations and corporate clients

Job Details

* Making outbound calls to prospective business customers - Target 'spoken to' is 20-30 per day
* Working to daily/weekly targets, to achieve required goals
* Explaining and promoting the benefits and service to prospective clients
* Maintaining the current CRM system with customer information
* Responding to requests for information
* Ongoing professional promotion of the brand/product through telephone and email communication
* Assisting with marketing activities
* Calling existing customers to follow up on courses attended and promoting repeat business
* Associated administration tasks

About you - experience and skills required

You will already be working in a sales environment as a Sales Assistant, Sales/Telesales Executive and looking to move to your 2nd (or possibly 3rd) role

You will not be fazed by cold calling or being tasked to speak with 20-30 prospects daily

You will have experience of working in a business to business environment or possibly business to consumer if you have/and can demonstrate good consultative skills

You will be comfortable talking to people at all levels of an organisation

You will be comfortable using a PC with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software

You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal

You will be motivated by doing a job well and helping clients achieve the outcomes they want from the courses they attend

You will have excellent customer service skills and have a reasonable understanding of how training, learning and development can enhance someone's career

You will have a confident personality but also open to new learning and developing your own skills

The ability to multi task and deal with multiple streams of information is important

You will have a professional attitude and be quick thinking

A sense of humour is also important

Although this is essentially a telesales job, our approach is highly consultative with a view to matching our services to the outcomes required to help client organisations develop their managers, leaders and staff to ultimately reach their business goals.

This consultative approach is through careful questioning and listening, making suggestions as to which service would benefit the client.

Full training in the services we offer, how they benefit a client, our sales process and how to lead clients strategically through this process will be given.
