Job description:
The Continuous Improvement Technician role is responsible for developing and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement (CI) and knowledge about related methodologies/ activities (Lean, Six Sigma, ALPS) across all areas of the site, with a strong focus on manufacturing and operations to deliver demand at the lowest imaginable cost. The end-purpose is to improve the real result key performance indicators in terms of HSE, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People on the site. This role personifies the Lean Six Sigma (L6S) methodologies and way of solving problems, making decisions and setting standards. This is a position that reports into the Continuous Improvement Manager (CIM). The CI Technicians key responsibilities: 1. Build organizational capabilities 2. Improve site performance 3. Drive and manage improvement projects 4. Support the ALPS deployment on site

Functional (Experience and Educational Requirements)
* 3+ years of relevant work experience (operations, production, maintenance, logistics, (process engineering), continuous improvement
* Lean Six Sigma Green / Advanced Practitioner trained as a minimum, with a demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma and TPM.
* Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
* Experience of project management (budget setting, cost control and managing third party relationships)
* Experience of Kaizen or DMAIC facilitation
* Experience of coaching and teach at all levels within an organization to enable engagement and commitment
* Experience of developing and implementing lean six sigma training programs
* Experience of working with ISO9000, 14000, 18000, PAS99, and Integrated Management Systems
* Experience of paint manufacturing would be advantageous

* Confident and experienced in coaching others with experience in coaching and engaging others
* Good team player who knows how to build their own network
* Solid project and stakeholder management experience
* Desire to champion the company values and the site vision
* Capable of motivating employees to see the positive benefits of CI
* Able to multi task in high pressure environments
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to gain respect and trust and inpire others to follow and participate in the change process
* Ability to make difficult decisions

General:
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal
* Strong computer skills
* Role may require some travel
