Responsibilities

Proactively manage residential mortgage accounts which are in arrears by ensuring that collections and litigation activities are carried out in accordance with the levels specified by the SLA, procedures and current legislation.

General Tasks and Accountabilities
 Manage a caseload of borrower accounts from day 1 arrears through to litigation.
 Ensure information relating to borrowers and loans is current and accurately recorded on CMS systems.
 Receive and resolve loan enquiries.
 Identify, recommend and implement enhancements to processes and procedures.
 Working with borrowers to ensure arrears are brought up to date.
 Assist with projects as defined by the Arrears Team Leader.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Characteristics
 Ability to objectively evaluate and criticise performance; thinks logically and objectively.
 Ability to make well considered decisions.
 Ability to solve problems and implement appropriate remedial measures.
 Ability to work as an effective team member - be co-operative, mentor, counsel and support others.
 Efficient Time Manager with the ability to reach deadlines
 Ability to communicate at all levels
 Good quality of written and verbal communication
 Ability and willingness to take ownership and see a task through to completion.
 Knowledge and understanding of mortgage loan documentation
 Knowledge of the applicable regulations/codes governing the financial services industry.
 Full CeMAP Qualification or studying CeMAP Qualification (two modules attained).

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Characteristics
 Knowledge of application regulations/ codes governing the financial services industry (Desirable).
 A good understanding of the UK Benefits systems (Desirable).
 Customer focused with the ability to identify effective solutions for borrowers and external and internal clients.
 Ability to organize workload and to meet deadlines.
 Excellent telephone manner
Salary: 18000 per annum
