Job Title: General Labourer
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 8am-5pm
Pay p/h: GBP10.50

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. The General Labourer will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that require physical labour on construction sites, warehouses, or other work environments. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, capable of working in diverse weather conditions, and willing to contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
· Perform manual labour tasks, such as lifting, carrying, digging, and operating hand and power tools.
· Assist with construction, renovation, or maintenance projects as directed by the supervisor.
· Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
· Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
· Operate machinery or equipment, including forklifts, as necessary (if applicable and certified).
· Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
· Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
· Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a general labourer is preferred but not required.
· Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
· Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
· Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
· Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
· Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety guidelines.
· Forklift certification (if required for the position).

Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry objects.
· Can carry and lift objects weighing under (25kg)
· Being able to lift timber lengths.

Working Conditions:

The work environment may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. The job may involve working in confined or elevated spaces (if applicable). Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as required.
