Job Summary: As a Van/Light Tipper Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet of vans and light tippers. This role involves diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vans and light tippers.
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
3. Conduct brake, engine, transmission, and suspension system repairs.
4. Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
5. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
6. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and solve complex issues.
7. Order and maintain inventory of necessary parts and supplies.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Van/Light Tipper Mechanic or similar role.
2. Certification in automotive technology or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
4. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Valid driver's license.
