Our client is currently recruiting for a Junior Account Manager to be based in Claydon Suffolk.
This role will support the COO and Head of Sales in managing a portfolio of key and mid-market accounts; customers typically purchasing between GBP75k-GBP1.5million of PPE per annum.
Whereas previous Internal Account Manager roles have looked for someone with consultative selling experience, at a higher contact level in the customer and with larger accounts up to GBP1m+ p.a. spend, this role will be more transactional;
The COO / HOS will create the account strategies for the Customer base.
These roles will then operationalise the strategies through high volumes of dedicated outbound calling to customer contacts across multiple sites.
The key objectives of this outbound calling will be to: build relationships; increase our clients visibility at all levels of the accounts; identify sales opportunities; and drive revenue growth.
The job- holders will need to be a voracious, high-activity telephone sales professionals, used to making high volumes of outbound calls every day to develop the business.
Please note the non-negotiable requirement for B2B sales experience; candidates with only (or mainly) B2C call-centre experience will not have the desired skills for this role and will not be interviewed.
Non-negotiable experience: · 1-3 years telephone-based, Business to Business sales experience · Experience in selling products and services to customers within hard industry sectors where safety is important e.g. chemicals, manufacturing, construction, logistics / transport etc
Role is around 20% new business (from lapsed customers / leads; very little if any cold- calling is required) and 80% existing account management to retain and grow accounts.
