Workshop Labourer
Job Description
A Workshop Labourer needed for busy timber workshop in Thurston near Bury St Edmunds, assisting in the production of components for our modular buildings. You will be using machinery to help manufacture the components. Full training will be given.
Basic wood machining knowledge is preferred, but not essential as all training will be given, with opportunities for progression.

In return, you can expect to:
learn a variety of tasks within our Production, such as painting timber components, wall studs, assemble roofing trusses and gables, manufacture felted roofs, glaze doors and windows, hang internal doors frames, assemble decking, steps and ramps,
learn how to read CAD drawings,
work within a friendly group of wood machinists,
progress within the business once fully trained,
be trained on safe use on all our saw machinery (chop saw, table saw, spindle, planer),
be trained to use our power tools, such as sanding machines, impact drivers, screwdrivers,
The position is offered on a permanent basis and work hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. There are opportunities for overtime during busy periods and an extra day holiday for each year of loyal service.
